Pinot Noir is the "hot" grape in Germany these days, and lots are good although almost all are very pricey. Here we have a very tasty and stylish Pinot from the prime volcanic hills of Baden that's as affordable as it is fun! It's from organic fruit, low-impact winemaking, and a site that gives loads of aroma and flavor but not a lot of alcohol (or color). Spicy pie cherry and tangy raspberry fruit are the core of the wine, with nice layers of earthy spice and juicy snap of acidity and fine-grained tannins at the end. Baden, Germany
