Brittan Vineyards Basalt Pinot Noir
2012. Red currant, cumquat and a hint of fig, entwined with notes of anise, cloves and cinnamon and undertones of minerality, gunpowder and gravel dust. The clarity of the fruit is immediate on the palette, with bright acid leading into a supple but structured mid-palate. Refined tannins carries through to a lengthy and elegant finish of dark plum.
